At 20, Dobbs began subleasing a tiny dance studio out of a jazzercise center that quickly grew to 400 students by word of mouth. Today she is graduating dancers to Julliard and Broadway and hunting for space in McLean and Old Town Alexandria to handle 1,000 students. Dobbs, now 33, started dancing at age 11 in a church basement and has performed for inaugural balls and Kennedy Center shows.
