Metropolitan Musical Theatre Company is a production company for Musical Theatre performers. The purpose is to deepen their knowledge of the full scope of American Theatre through Classic Book Musicals, Contemporary Musical Theatre, Revues and readings of new works or plays. Recent productions have included A Chorus Line, Addams Family, Legally Blonde and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

It’s Summer Stock in the DMV!

Immerse yourself in the world of Elle Woods! Train and perform with university faculty and Broadway veterans. Daily classes in Dance, Voice and Acting are combined with a fast-paced rehearsal schedule and two fully-produced performances.

July 29 to August 2, 9:30am- 4:30 pm at MSA
August 4- 1:00-7:00 pm
August 5, 6- 9:30 am- 4:30 pm
August 7 & 8- 1:00 pm- 9:30  pm
August 9 & 10- 5:00pm call, 7:00 pm show

Locations:  Please note that this is a performance-based program. The first week of rehearsals will be at Metropolitan School of the Arts; however, the second week and the final performance will take place offsite at the performance venue (TBA)

Eligibility: Male or Male-identifying actors. Roles include ensemble, understudy roles and named characters (see below). Open to rising 8th graders through Gap Year. Audition required (see below

Audition fee: $35.00

Tuition: $1200.00 (2 payments – $600 due upon acceptance, $600 due April 14)

Video Audition Guidelines
Information on how to submit a video audition will be emailed to families after registration is completed.

Dance: Dance in your favorite style and include at least one turn and one jump. Your dance submission should be approximately 45 seconds long.
Voice: A song will be provided to you.
Acting: Please tell us a joke.
