VICTOR ADEBUSOLA is a household name for hip-hop in the DC-metropolitan area, serving as an established dancer, choreographer, and instructor. He graduated from the University of Maryland, where he found an on campus based hip-hop team called Dynamic Hip-Hop Dance Troupe and eventually became Artistic Director.
Vic became an official member of Culture Shock Dance Troupe, Washington DC in 2011. Through Culture Shock DC, Vic has performed in places such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Ottawa, Canada, and New York. Vic has also taught nationally and internationally, at locations such as University of North Carolina, Virginia Tech, George Mason University, and abroad in Toronto and Ottawa, Canada. He eventually went on to artistically direct Culture Shock DC.
Vic is also as an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University teaching beginner and intermediate Hip-Hop courses. He has had works showcased at the John F. Kennedy Center of Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Vic has also choreographed several award-winning competition pieces for dance studios in the Maryland, Virginia and DC area. He has taught and judged with Platinum National Dance Experience, as well.
Vic recently joined Capital Funk and is excited for the new journey he is sharing with his dance family. He also established Project VictorAde, which debuted at last year’s Rip the Floor! He continues to spread his knowledge and love for dance to all communities and people who share his passion. He hopes to continue to showcase and share the passion and talent that is the DMV-dance community to broader audiences.
