Rachel Leigh Dolan is a Musical Theatre, Jazz and Tap choreographer and teacher with nearly 13 years experience. Her choreography has appeared in numerous Washington, DC regional productions, national showcases, as well as Off-Off Broadway in New York City. Rachel is a 2014 Helen Hayes Award Nominee for Outstanding Choreography in a Resident Musical for her work in “Cabaret” at the Keegan Theatre in Dupont Circle.
As a dance educator, Rachel has trained thousands of students from novice to professional. Credits for her students include Equity National tours, cruise ships, theme parks, and the Radio City Rockettes. She has prepared students for rigorous Dance and Musical Theatre programs, including graduates and current students at George Mason University, Kansas State, Oklahoma City University, AMDA, Marymount Manhattan, Rider University, James Madison University, and Buffalo State.
A professional performer, Rachel made her stage debut in 2000 with Debbie Allen’s “Dreams” at the Kennedy Center and again with Ms. Allen again in her 2002 production of “Pearl,”at the Terrace Theatre in the Kennedy Center. She has trained with Debbie Allen Dance Academy, Dance Theatre of Harlem Dance Residency Program, Steps on Broadway, where she assisted, Broadway Dance Center, and with Joe Lanteri and New York City Dance Alliance. When she isn’t teaching dance, Rachel seeks out training with her teachers in New York City and teaches Power Yoga.
