Liz Fegley was most recently the Artistic Director and Dance Educator at Woodbridge Senior High School’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts in Woodbridge, Virginia. Liz has trained, performed, and taught dance all over the United States. In Colorado Springs, Liz performed and taught for Ormao Dance Company, under the direction of Jan Johnson. With Ormao she danced as both a soloist and ensemble member, performing works by artists such as Cirque du Soleil’s Billy Chang, and MoraPorVida’s Jacob Mora. She was also the advanced jazz teacher and the Ormao Youth Ensemble Director. She was a head instructor on the Universal Dance Association’s staff and currently judges for the company. Through her travels, Liz has trained and performed with an array of dance artists such as Tommi Galaska, Patti Weeks, Roger Belman, Joseph Carow, Galina Panova, Derek Brown, and Ziva Cohen. Liz has her Bachelor of Fine Arts from East Carolina University in dance performance, with a jazz concentration. She has her Masters in Teaching from The Evergreen State College, with endorsements in K-12 dance and theatre. Liz was on faculty at Metropolitan Fine Arts Center ten years ago and left to support her husband’s military career. Having recently relocated back to Virginia, Liz could not be more thrilled to be back on staff with Metropolitan School of the Arts, sharing her love for this art.
