Jessica began her dance training in Washington State where she studied ballet under Debra Pearse Rogo. She continued her training at Virginia Ballet Company and School under Tatiana Rousseau and Oleg Tupine. She received a BA with Distinction and Honors (Phi Beta Kappa) in Biological Sciences and Chemistry from Goucher College where she furthered her studies in ballet, jazz, and dance science through the school’s then-nationally-ranked dance department. In 2001, she began teaching at The Metropolitan Fine Arts Center. She also began working at The Montessori School of Virginia 2002, and in 2005, became a certified Montessori Directress for the Primary level (ages 3-5 years) through the Northeast Montessori Institute. She returned to her roots in 2004 and taught ballet at Virginia Ballet Company until 2011. She has two young children who both attend MSA and looks forward to working with and learning from the exceptional faculty at MSA.
