Halle Elizabeth Schulman grew up in Louisville, Kentucky where she received her dance training at the Louisville Ballet School. She is a graduate of the Youth Performing Arts High School in Louisville and earned a BFA in Dance Performance from the Shenandoah University Conservatory of the Arts in Winchester, Virginia. Halle completed her Masters of Science in Performing Arts Leadership and Management in May of 2017 at Shenandoah University. Halle has danced in residency under the direction of numerous world-renowned choreographers such as John Lehrer with the Lehrer Dance Company, Tara Compton with the Company E, and freelance choreographer, Stephanie Martinez. Halle currently teaches all genres of dance for young, aspiring artists at the Inwood Performing Arts Center in Winchester, Virginia. She has also taught jazz and hip hop classes as a guest artist and choreographer at the Louisville Ballet Pre-Professional Summer Dance Intensive for the past three years. In the summer of 2016, Halle served as the education outreach and development intern with the Omaha Community Playhouse in Omaha, Nebraska. While in Omaha, she also ran a two-week dance workshop for Omaha’s Next Step Dancing with Maren. Halle has a genuine passion for educational initiatives within the arts. She has a true sense of arts advocacy and understands the importance of community outreach programs that allow her to perpetuate her love of the arts for future generations. Halle currently serves as the Business and Marketing Director for Motion X Dance DC and is excited to make her teaching début this year at Metropolitan School of the Arts.
