Aimee Gervacio is a Northern Virginia native and proud Virginia Tech graduate. Dancing since she was 4 years old, Aimee has been studio trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical/contemporary at former local studios Studio One and Rhythm & Cheer. She competitively danced for R&C and Lee HS’ Lancer Dancers Varsity Team, the latter of which she served as captain. At VT, she danced and choreographed for Dance Company at Virginia Tech (DCVT), a student-run dance organization, and served as Artistic Director and Vice President in her junior and senior years, respectively. Aimee was introduced to musical theater in middle school, and since 2005 she has choreographed for the Summer Theatre Program (STP), a local high-school musical theater program. Previous STP choreographer credits include Once Upon a Mattress, Seussical, 42nd Street, Annie, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bye Bye Birdie, Shrek, and Disney’s Newsies. She has also choreographed for OLQP’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Zombie Prom. Despite a full-time career outside of the arts, Aimee continues to be passionate about dance and musical theater, and is dedicated to working with students to encourage and support their artistic talents and aspirations.
