MSA is closed Friday, March 13-Friday, April 10 for all dance & theater classes, private lessons, adult dance, and evening rehearsals. Adult Fitness classes will be canceled Friday, March 13-Friday, March 27 at which point we will reevaluate. We continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as they come. All performances are postponed.

ballet intensive

about:  This 2-week program is an exhilarating in-depth ballet intensive for serious and dedicated dance students taught by MSA faculty and guest teachers. This program will empower and challenge students to improve their technical proficiency and execution of classical ballet, modern and contemporary. Daily technique classes will be offered in ballet, pointe, classical repertoire, Pilates, partnering and character dance. Intermediate dancers will have access to beginners partnering and advanced dancers will also learn classical pas de deux from featured works. Each week will culminate in a staged in-house sharing. This is a great way to build a pathway toward your pre-professional ballet aspirations with the Metropolitan Youth Ballet company! Nutcracker audition preparation will be included. Students will be placed in appropriate level at time of registration.

mini ballet intensive

about:  This 1-week, half-day program is a mini ballet intensive for dedicated rising Ballet 1 and Ballet 2 students (8-10 years of age) who love ballet! Ballet is the foundation for all dance so this is an excellent way to strengthen your skills over the summer and prepare for Nutcracker auditions. Days will include technique class, fun workshops to gain knowledge about the history of ballet (vocabulary, famous performers, and performances!), and will culminate with learning choreography and stretching! The week will conclude with an informal presentation of exercises from technique class, information learned in ballet history, and a class dance!

teen ballet boot camp

about: This one week camp program is designed for students age 13-18 with 2+ years ballet experience wanting to achieve a significant amount of development in their ballet skills in a short amount of time. It is also ideal for a student returning to ballet after an extended absence and wanting to increase their technical and artistic abilities.
