Metropolitan Homeschool Productions’ Spring Musical
Our Metropolitan Homeschool Program offers an audition only musical performance opportunity to the surrounding home education community that is performed each spring! This program, Metropolitan Homeschool Productions, prepares a full-fledge musical including props, costumes, lighting, sound, tech., dancing and more that is performed onsite in our Black Box Theater! This program brings classical musical to life in an intimate setting! Past shows include The Sound of Music, The Music Man, Jr., andThe Taming of the Shrew.
ANNIE KIDS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS AGE 9 (BY SEPT. 30) THROUGH 13.
Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with a beloved book and score by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, Annie KIDS features everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure. This is a 30-minute version with enough music, dance to keep our younger students challenged. 20-30 roles, two performances.
THORTON WILDER’S THE MATCHMAKER IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS AGE 13 (BY SEPT. 30) THROUGH 18.
Wilder’s uproarious farce about love and grand adventures which inspired the Broadway musical, Hello, Dolly! Through Dolly’s subtle machinations, several unlikely couples come together to find happiness in 19th-century New York. We are also compiling a 15-20 minute ‘cabaret’ of songs from the 1880’s for cast members itching to sing! 17-25 endearing roles, six performances.
