During this workshop the students will be given tools to improve their extension both on the ground and in the air.  We will begin by discussing the necessary components of length and strength in the core and hips as well as reviewing the anatomy associated with excellent extension. The exercise portion of this class will review how to improve hip flexor length and strength, gluteal strength and endurance, core strength, the “wrap around” muscles and how to lift from underneath the seat.  This will transition into jump fitness and how to improve endurance alongside elegance to make beautiful extension feel easy.
