In response to student demand, MSA has added a two Teen Ballet Boot Camps to our summer schedule. This program is designed for students age 13-18 at a Beginning and Advanced Beginning level.

This program is designed for students age 13-18 at a Beginning level (0-1 years of ballet experience) to achieve a significant amount of development in their ballet skills in a short amount of time. This is ideal for those who have some experience in other dance genres and wish to explore ballet, athletes looking to improve their strength, flexibility and coordination in preparation for fall sports, actors and singers needing an understanding of dance, and those with less than a years of ballet study wanting to increase their technical and artistic abilities.

August 9-11 (Wed-Fri)

Tuition: $75 Early Bird/$90 After April 1

teen ballet 2/3 boot camp

This program is designed for students age 13-18 with 2-3 years ballet experience wanting to achieve a significant amount of development in their ballet skills in a short amount of time. It is also ideal for a student returning to ballet after an extended absence and wanting to increase their technical and artistic abilities.

August 21-25 (Mon-Fri)

About The Instructor:

Marilyn York has been teaching all levels of jazz dance and ballet at MSA for over a decade. She has developed and directed dance programs at several other major area dance studios, and has been directing, choreographing, teaching, and nurturing young dancers for more than thirty years. Ms. York is the Artistic Director of Dancin’ Unlimited, a professional jazz dance company established in 1973. Dancin’ Unlimited is well known for creating new and exciting programs each year with an emphasis on artistic excellence, broad variety and professionalism. She is the inspiration behind, and the producer of the annual Jazz & Tap Dance Festival, coordinating the talents of many area dance ensembles into fun and lively performances of superb dance entertainment.
